Infrared technology uses pairs of infrared emitter-collector to project an invisible grid of light in a small distance over the surface of the screen. When a beam is interrupted, the absence of the signal at the collector is detected and converted to an X/Y touch coordinate. The equipment can detect where the touching happens by detecting the changing of the collecting the infrared light. Through the design of the hardware and the programme of the software, it can calculate the data of every points. Because of the exact calculation the resolution can be 4096x4096. The infrared touch screen can work without pressure for its special working theory. And also it can work without glass.To avoid the disturbing, we use the fixed frequency for each pair of emitter and collector. They collector can just detect the fixed frequency from its relative emitter.This is the so called impulse theory. In this way the infrared touch screen can work in every kind of strong light.
